Ministry of Health, in collaboration with Nala Foundation, on Wednesday signed an agreement to launch pilot project that would help to prevent and control Schistosomiasis, also known as bilharzia in Ethiopia.

The project – with the investment of 300,000 euros – is expected to benefit 260,000 children in schools.

The pilot project – which will run for the coming three years – will soon be launched in Bench Maji zone of the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples’ Region (SNNPR) focusing on schools.
