Ethiopia and Eritrea will hold a meeting at leaders-level soon, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia.
Dr Workneh Gebeyehu, Minister of Foreign Affairs said that Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia and Eritrean President Isaias Afeworki will meet soon.
According to him, the visit by the Eritrean delegation paved fertile ground to restore peace between the two countries.
Prime Minister Dr Abiy sent a letter to President Isaias today.
Eritrean delegation composed of Foreign Minister Osman Saleh and Presidential Adviser Yemane Ghebreab arrived in Ethiopia last Tuesday.
Yesterday, the delegation visited the Hawassa industrial park, 275 km from the capital Addis Ababa.
The industrial park has so far attracted 18 leading global apparel and textile companies as well as created jobs for over 18,000 people. (FBC)
