Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to combat cross-border financial crimes on Monday, December 17, 2018.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed has received Foreign Minister Workneh Gebeyehu, who’s currently visiting UAE.
The two ministers have discussed on ways of consolidating cooperation in areas of trade, investment, agriculture and aviation, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
They reviewed the existing diplomatic relationship between the two countries and agreed to establish a legal framework to combat cross-border financial crimes as well as conducting joint investigations whenever the crimes unfold.
The Ministers have also discussed on ways of consolidating cooperation in various areas and bilateral ties of the two countries.
Following the meeting, the two ministers witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) addressing the conditions of Ethiopian workers in the UAE. (ENA)
