Following a roadside bomb blast that occurred in Benishangul Gumuz regional state, members of the national defense force are engaged in clearing the area, according to the Federal Police Commission.

Ten people were killed and four other seriously injured when a minibus traveling from Assosa to Tongo was hit by a roadside bomb this morning, said Jeilan Kebede, public relations director at the Federal Police Commission.

The minibus was carrying a total of 14 passengers, he told reporters today.

Those injured in the blast have been transported to Begi hospital.

According to him, a team from the federal police will be deployed soon for investigation. (FBC)
