Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has expressed his appreciation to the Law and Justice Advisory Council, established to review various laws, for their efforts.

Abiy met with the members of the Council which was set up four months ago to revise laws that are believed to be restrictive and with some gaps at his office.

Anti-terrorism; mass media and freedom of expression; election; and charities and civil societies are the laws that the Council is reviewing.

Abiy expressed his appreciation for members of the Council who voluntarily engage in the review of the laws, saying by doing so they display the value of serving and discharging one’s responsibility as a citizen. (Daily Monitor)
