Over 134, 000 Condominium Houses will be transferred to beneficiaries during the current Ethiopian fiscal year, said deputy mayor of Addis Abeba city administration.
Takele Uma, deputy mayor of the city, announced the plan during the regular session of the council of city administration, which started to review six-month performance report on Thursday.
According to the report, about 95,000 houses in the 20/80 housing scheme and 38,000 houses in the 40/60 housing program are also under construction.
In the previous round of house transfer program held in June, the housing agency of the City transferred 2,605 condominium houses to the beneficiaries in a lottery draw.
The transfer favored women and community members with disabilities.

Apart from the progress in house development program, Deputy Mayor Takelesaid the city is yet to reach its target in terms of job creation.’

During the period, the administration managed to transfer production sites to 648 individuals. The plan was to provide production sites for 1,240 citizens, Takele said.

The land was transferred to the land bank, he stated.
The city also collected 18.8 billion birr from different income titles during the past six months. The plan was to collect 20.7 billion birr.
